RAF Fairford
Fairford is a small market town which lies on the River Coln. The focal point of the village is the beautiful parish church of St Mary.
The church contains 28 stained glass windows depicting the highlights of the Biblical story. These spectacular windows are the only complete set in the country and were the work of craftsmen from Flanders. While visiting the church don't miss the stone carvings, carved misericords and the stone memorial in the churchyard to Tiddles, the church cat that fell off the church roof !!

The church overlooks water meadows, where an an old watermill and bridge span the River Coln. The main street is lined with cottages and numerous inns, a reminder that the town was once a popular coaching stop.
